According to PC Magazine, Google is now using technology from Audible Magic to search YouTube for audio copyright violations in user uploaded content.
At the time of this writing, the accuaracy of these detection systems remains questionable. A robust anti-piracy solution is urgently needed. |

From the article, "Audible Magic, which debuted in 2003, offers a product called CopySense, which was designed to detect and manage copyrighted content transfers over networks by individuals using popular public file sharing applications like BitTorrent and Gnutella." The database of protected material contains content registered by Google's partners, major players ilke Warner Music, Sony BMG and Universal.
